The Author As a native New Yorker, I joined the military immediately following high school in search of a promising stable career. Coincidentally, the service is where I met my husband – in Syracuse, to be exact. Because of our military service, we were offered the opportunity to travel around the world with our two sons. The variety of cultures broadened my perspective, which, I hope, reveals itself in my current and future manuscripts.
